Rasmancha with its unique Architectural manifestions was built by Bir Hamber is c. 1600 AD. The Temple stands on a raised square laterite plinth with a pyramidal superstructure. Three successive circumblatory galleries, The arches of which are decorated with terracotta lotus motifs, During the Malla Regime, all the images from the neighboring temples were brought at the time of RAS Festival and displayed in the galleries for the public. The internal chamber of the shrine is enclosed by three consecutive circumambulatory galleries and topped by a colossal pyramidal crown above. The square foundation is 1.5m high, each side of which is 24.5m long and rises to a height of about 11m to reach a stage roof above. Its parallel has not been found elsewhere in India and it may be considered as the pride of Bishnupur for its unique shape. Jor Bangla also known as KestaRai Temple was erected by the Malla King Raghunath Singha in AD 1655 as evidenced from the inscription affixed on the front façade of the temple. The temple, facing south is raised on a square platform in the form of a pair of hut shaped structures with sloping roofs joined together and surmounted by a charchalasikhara on the top. Both the exterior and interior walls and ceiling of the temple depict exquisite and elaborate terracotta ornamentation. These terracotta panels narrate scenes from the epics, krishnalila, hunting scenes, various other depictions of contemporary social life etc. The excellent quality of art on this temple endows it as one of the finest among the terracotta temples of West Bengal.

Shyam Rai Temple of Bishnupur was built by Raghunatha Singha in 17th century. The architecture of this Temple is unique and is one of the prioritized monuments on Archaeological Survey of India’s list. It has Panch ratna meaning five tower structures. Curved ceiling of the Temple is influenced by Islamic architecture giving it unique blend. It has beautiful terracotta sculptures on depicting various scenes from Ramayana, Krishna Leela and Mahabharata. Other paintings and sculptures include royal hunting sights, musicians and dancers. Way its drawn makes this beautiful art seemingly very alive.
